Between Lorgues and Draguignan, in the Haut Var, the Château Roubine vineyard is one of the oldest in France. The cultivation of the vines on these lands dates back 2600 years. It also has a Roman road known as Julienne that crosses its grounds. Surrounded by hills and forests (oak and pine,…), the vines stretch out over 70 hectures of a calcareous land. A soil that gives the wine of Château Roubine all its character. Château Roubine cultivates 13 different grape varieties: Grenache, Mouvèdre, Syrah, Cabernet, Cinsault, Semillon, Clairette, Rolle, Carignan, Ugni-blanc, Tibouren, Merlot and Chardonnay. Wines are available in rosé, red and white.
Born in Saint-Tropez and a lover of her region, Valérie Rousselle fell under the spell of this property and bought it in 1994. Surrounded by talented professionals, she has over the years given to Château Roubine, a list of nobilities.
In order to help you discover fully the estate and its wines, Valérie Rousselle has implemented a range of activity tours. Thus, “Winemaker trail” which takes you to the heart of the vineyards. Composed of 13 walk ways, showing the 13 grape varieties in their fields.. At each stop, an informative panel provides information on the peculiarities of the landscape, the environment, history and the grape varieties in the vine. Equipped with a map, you walk in the vineyards. Walks last from 45 minutes to 2 hours. The walk can, of course, conclude with a wine tasting.
