From your camp site Esterel Caravaning it takes 10 minutes to get to Frejus. When leaving Esterel Caravaning turn right direction Frejus – Saint Raphael, follow the signs to Frejus centre.

At 8 kilometres from Esterel Caravaning you’ll find the Frejus town, its strong history rich and full makes Frejus a town of culture, Frejus is an ancient Roman town and its roman theatre is still used today.

Forum Julii was the Roman name for Frejus and its famous theatre hosted gladiator tournaments and nautical games, with up to 10 000 spectators in its main arena. Numerous roman vestiges remain around the Frejus town giving you an instructive and cultural journey through time. Frejus is now a lively modern resort with numerous fine sandy beaches with life guard stations.

Every night at Port Frejus and Frejus Plage numerous night market merchants sell their typically Provencal produce and fashion items, it’s the ideal place to find the perfect souvenir from Frejus. Halfway between Cannes and Saint Tropez and the Massifs des Maures and the Esterel, Frejus juggles tourism with culture and authenticity.
