Grimaud

At 40 kilometres from Esterel Caravaning you’ll find the village of Grimaud. In the heart of the Massif des Maures and just a few steps from the Gulf of Saint Tropez beaches. The Grimaud village has conserved its medieval feel and is very much appreciated by all its visitors.

Grimaud is situated on a rock peak that looks down over the coast and the Garde Freinet region. It was renowned for the quality of its defences up until the 17th century; the Grimaud castle was in command of the entire Gulf which was named at that time the Gulf of Grimaud until the end of the 19th century when it lost its influence to Saint Tropez. Today its panorama views, its medieval ruins, its typical little backstreets and the old village are all the force of Grimaud.
