Menton

At around 100 kilometres from Esterel Caravaning you’ll find the town of Menton, just before the Italian border. A town filled with gardens lemons, history and art. It has all the assets of a resort town, reputed for its sub-tropical climate.

Menton has flourishing nature; it’s full of palm trees, mimosas trees, orange and of course lemon trees. Citrus fruits are the town’s emblem and every year they hold a fête to honour them. During a 3 week period a huge parade passes through the streets with music, dancers and huge decorated floats, it’s a major celebration on the Cote d’Azur.

Very much appreciated for its charm and climate Menton has welcomed numerous personalities, the Artist Jean Cocteau had great affection for Menton and left many traces of his work throughout the town. The contrasts between the town, its nature, warmth and mildness, history and modernity assure the harmony of Menton.
