Montauroux

At only 35 kilometres from Esterel Caravaning you’ll find the little hilltop village Montauroux. Halfway between the coast and the first ski stations in the Alps, Montauroux has a unique situation facing the Massif des Maures and the Esterel.

Surrounded by forests and the valley de la Haute Siagne and the lake Saint Cassien, Montauroux has a preserved natural environment, benefiting from sunshine the whole year round. It’s a restful and relaxing place to visit. Montauroux and the exceptional surrounding Fayences villages welcome numerous personalities and holiday home owners, the designer Christian Dior spent his last days here, at the Colle Noir Castle, which he renovated. Christian Dior also restored the Saint Barthélemy Chapel and left it to the District of Montauroux.
