Esterel Caravaning is:
- 331 mobile homes and 164 touring pitches – 495 pitches in all, spread across 19 hectares.
- 50 nationalities have visited us in 50 years.
- 80 employees keep the place running during the season, including 16 permanent staff – a total of 79,224 hours worked over the year. That’s roughly nine years of human work packed into a few months.
- In 50 years, the campsite has recorded 5,415,764 overnight stays. That’s more than five million evenings falling asleep with a view of the Esterel massif.
- 56 million TV viewers have seen Esterel Caravaning on screen. That’s more than the population of France. Some came to see for themselves. They stayed.
- 10,000 m² of water park – and tens of thousands of trips down the waterslides!
- 85% of the site covered in vegetation, with 10,000 new native plants added every year. In 50 years, the estate has grown from 30,000 to 280,000 Mediterranean trees and plants.
- 1,053,204 kWh: electricity consumption per year.
- 54,740 m³: water consumption per year.
Over a single season:
- 13,055 pizzas out of the oven. That’s around 143 pizzas a day.
- 39,120 baguettes handed out. That’s one baguette for roughly every 138 overnight stays – or one baguette every ten minutes, if that helps you picture it.
- 32,052 beers served at the bar, along with 35,365 sodas, waters and fruit juices, 2,014 mojitos, 7,634 glasses of rosé and 912 glasses of red wine. This is Provence, alright!
- 13,466 different products sold at the minimarket. Everything you need so you never have to leave the campsite. Even in the event of a gherkin emergency on a Sunday evening.
- 10,000 dog waste bags handed out in five years. A figure we’d rather not break down, but one that says a lot about the civic-mindedness of our four-legged friends.
- 1,250 bingo nights held since we opened – an average of 25 per season. Bingo: the game that brings all the generations together.
- 375 hours of live concerts on the bar terrace since the early days. Enough to listen to music non-stop for more than two weeks without sleeping.
- 612 sun loungers set out around the pools. A place in the sun for everyone… or in the shade.
